Using the Self-Registration Feature

Article summary

The Self-Registration feature is available exclusively for 360-degree surveys. It allows participants, particularly the Self person, to enter their information and nominate respondents directly, reducing admin workload and giving participants more control over their feedback circle.

This feature is ideal when you want participants to take ownership of the process or when you’re working with distributed teams.

Self-Registration can be accessed from MRS Templates and My Templates.

When using the Self-Registration feature from the MRS Templates, the system provides a default self-registration link. This link allows leaders to register themselves and nominate their respondents directly.

On the other hand, if the self-registration feature were accessed through My Templates, it would give the user two options.

Option 1: Upload CSV File

This option allows you to upload a CSV file containing the list of Self participants. For example, if you have ten leaders participating in a 360° survey, the CSV should include their names and email addresses.

Once uploaded, each Self participant will receive a unique self-registration link, allowing them to register for the survey and nominate their own respondents.

  1. Click the Add icon to upload a CSV file containing the participant’s details.
Note: You can also click the ‘Sample CSV’ link to download our template for reference.

  1. Choose the CSV file from your device to upload it into the MRS platform. Then, click Open.

  1. A pop-up screen will appear showing the participants’ names and their email addresses. Once confirmed, click the Activate Now button to send the unique link to each of the participants.

SR-7.png

  1. You will see a pop-up message indicating that the invitation has been sent to the participants’ email addresses. Click OK to go to the main screen.

SR-8.png

  1. The Self person or participants will receive an email with their individual unique link, which they can access for self-registration.

SR-9.png

  1. Once a Self participant accesses their unique link, they can register by entering their personal information. They will also be able to add their own respondents using the provided fields. To include additional respondents, they can simply click the Add New Respondent button.

SR-12.png

  1. After submitting the information on the self-registration page, a ‘Submission Successful’ pop-up will appear. This message also informs the Self participant that, even after the survey has been activated, they can return to the self-registration page using their unique link to add more respondents if needed.

Option 2: Copy Link

This option allows you to copy an auto-generated self-registration link, which can then be shared manually with participants.

SR-10.png

The key difference between the two options is that:

  • Option 1 generates a unique link for each individual (via CSV upload).
  • Option 2 provides one general link that can be shared with multiple participants for self-registration.

Participants receiving the link can register themselves and enter their respondent details directly via the platform.
